Dear all,
Shri vivekanand nursing home trust's Ayurved College and hospital is one of the renowed institutes. It is located to the rahuri sugar factory area in the district ahmednagar. Our institute is established in the year 1991 and reached to present stage by achieving success.
This ayurveda institute has been set up keeping in the mind the need of this science to humanity in various diseases. The B.A.M.S. course was started in 1991-1992 and the first batch was passedout in 1995. In 1991, central council of indian medicine granted permission for increasing intake capacity of students, the intake capacity turned to sixty for each batch.
In 1999-2000, the institute also got permission to start post graduation degree courses (M.D./ M.S. ayurved) in three clinical subjects. Again we got permission to start post graduation in three more subjects, leading intake of twenty seven students for post graduation. In the same year, we were got permission for post graduate diploma courses in six subjects having intake of twenty one students per year.
The institute is affilliated to Maharashtra University Of Health Sciences, Nashik. The institute has appointed highly educated teaching faculty who at every step ready to help the students. We not only provide quality education but also encourage students for extracurricular activities like sports and cultural events.
In this era of competition we train students to face many competitions related to ayurved and I feel proud to tell that our practical knowledge, institute arranges medical camps, education tour visits. The ayurved institute is attached with well equipped hospital with indoor sections having 136 beds. The students passed out from this institute are serving the nation in various fields and glorifying the rich history of institute.
As the principal, I am proud to lead the institute and I am working to improve the institute in many ways. As like past, I hope our institute will surely prove its excellence in field of ayurved in future also.
Aims & Objectives of Institute:
- To provide quality education to students and to produce good graduates and post graduates in the discipline of Ayurved.
- To promote growth and development of Ayurved.
- To promote medical care facilities to patients for serving humanity.
- To promote researchers is Ayurved and to give them the platform in the institute for research.
